6ix9ine was hospitalized after reportedly being kidnapped and robbed during a brutal attack in New York.
Sources close to Tekashi tell TMZ that the 22-year-old rapper was shooting a music video in Brooklyn early Sunday morning (July 22). He drove home after the shoot wrapped around 4 a.m., but when he got there, another car was blocking his driveway.
Three hooded gunmen allegedly got out of the other car, grabbed Tekashi, and pistol whipped him, leaving him unconscious.
He was then put in the back seat of the SUV as the gunmen drove around. They told him they would kill him if he didn’t didn’t give them his jewelry and money.
A little while later, the gunmen pulled up to Tekashi’s home and two of them made their way inside as the third watched the rapper inside the vehicle.
They reportedly made off with around $750,000 in jewelry and $15,000-$20,000 in cash. Tekashi’s baby mama and daughter were inside the house, but were not hurt during the robbery.
The gunmen then drove away with Tekashi still in the back seat. At one point, 6ix9ine opened the back door and jumped out of the vehicle. One of the gunmen began chasing him, but stopped because he was afraid he would be identified.
Tekashi reportedly climbed in the passenger seat of a stranger’s car and pleaded for help. The driver called 911 and then asked him to get out of the car at an intersection.
He was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he currently remains, as doctors perform various tests, including a CT scan.
