Ella Mai’s “Boo’d Up” continues to burn up the charts, and now she calls on two of hip-hop’s biggest hitmakers, Nicki Minaj and Quavo, for the official remix to her platinum hit.
Chun-Li kicks off the new version of the DJ Mustard-produced track with references to Hugh Hefner, DeJ Loaf (“She goes both ways like DeJ Loaf”), and even her own song “Super Bass.” Quavo adds an Auto-Tuned verse, while Nicki provides ad-libs. It all ends with a flirty phone call between Nicki and Quavo: “Babe, can you come and get me?” she asks.
The original “Boo’d Up,” which appears on Ella Mai’s Ready EP, is currently No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. Ella will launch her “Boo’d Up Tour” on Aug. 6 in Dallas.
