Lil Uzi Vert is taking action. In the wake of XXXTentacion’s death, the “XO Tour Llif3” rapper has announced plans to start a foundation in memory of the late rapper.

After speaking with X’s family, Uzi decided he wanted to help. “Been speaking to @xxxtentacion family,” he tweeted. “I want to start a fund/foundation to make sure his child and family are well taken care of not just temporary but for life.”

He encouraged his fellow celebrities to get involved. “I don’t care if you didn’t know him he is part of the hip hop / rock community I NEED HELP from celebrities Please,” he said.

The foundation will help families of victims of gun violence. “Trust me this fund/foundation will be for all young entertainers and young men and women that die from gun violence etc.,” explained Uzi. “Think about your families future I know I am… We can buy chains and watches and cars WE ALSO CAN DONATE AND GIVE AND SUPPORT.”

Desiigner was among the first to pledge his support. “Only Way to Stop The Violence iis To Come Together!!” said the “Panda” hitmaker. “If You’re Readiing Thiis, Let’s All Start Now!”

XXXTentacion, 20, was fatally shot during an apparent robbery in Deerfield Beach, Fla. on Monday (June 18). A public open-casket viewing and fan memorial will be held in his memory at BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla. on Wednesday (June 27).
