After dropping a series of mixtapes, Jacquees makes it official with his debut album 4275.
Released via Cash Money, the Atlanta crooner delivers 18 tracks of pure R&B, from baby-making jams like the Trey Songz-assisted “Inside” to the ’90s-inspired “Special” featuring Jagged Edge.
Other guests include Chris Brown, Young Thug, DeJ Loaf, and Xscape’s LaTocha Scott. “The music is timeless,” Jacquees told Rap-Up. “It’s classic. It feels good. You can play it in the morning, middle of the day, or night for the rest of your life. I’m very confident. If this was my last work, I would stand on it.”
The album, named after his childhood address, was inspired by his upbringing. “This is my best work to date, and the title is just super special,” he says. “[4275] was my address, where I started singing at, where I won my first talent show at, that’s where I learned everything. I want everybody to hear that.”
Next up, Jacquees is readying a joint album with Chris Brown. “We wanted to make R&B,” he said. “On this one, he really wanted to sing and go at it. He was like, ‘We’re gonna kill ’em with this R&B.'”
