Teairra Mari says she is a victim of revenge porn. Taking to Instagram, the R&B songstress confirmed that her account was “compromised” with the leak of sexually-explicit visuals earlier today.
“Recently, my social media was compromised by someone who I felt was deserving of my love and trust,” said Teairra. “That person proved to be untrustworthy and posted footage of what in the moment was private and sacred.
“Moving forward, I recognize the need to be more cautious and discerning,” she added. “My hope is for women to remain strong and dignified when they find themselves having to address hateful and juvenile acts by former lovers who find it difficult to act in an adult manner.”
Finally, the “Love & Hip Hop” star indicated that she will pursue legal action in the case. “Revenge Porn is a crime in California,” she wrote. “I will be in pursuit of justice.”
50 Cent reposted one of the salacious images on Instagram. “Damn baby,” he captioned it. “This reality Tv shit going to far…what you doing this for?” After his post came down, 50 announced that he would be leaving the social media platform. “I’m leaving IG, I’m going back to Twitter,” he explained. “They take shit down off my page without notifying me.”
Mari broke onto the scene with her 2005 debut Roc-A-Fella Records Presents Teairra Mari, which was followed by a series of mixtapes and EPs.
