Tyler, the Creator creates another loosie. Today, the Odd Future MC releases “Rose Tinted Cheeks,” which is a rough draft of a song that was originally meant for last year’s Flower Boy LP.

The funky track finds Tyler fantasizing about a lover. He shares vulnerable thoughts about his emotions while singing and rapping. “I never had the courage to tell you I adore you,” he confesses. “I did it in a song, I was too afraid to call you.”

Later, he expresses nervousness at the sight of his lover. “I’m intimidated by your existence, flustered because of your presence,” he raps. “Your absence leaves me in a state of confusion / I can’t function, I can’t explain it.”

Tyler took to Twitter to explain the song’s genesis. “back when working on SFFB, it was a song i never finished or went back to. ive had in laying around and figured i just put it out as the demo/ rough draft it is. not really mixed or anything,” he wrote. “those vocals on the hook obvi would have been a girl who could actually sing haha, its a ref yall i just come up with it. wish i finished it, its warm, maybe i will idk prolly not, later.”

This is just the latest Tyler loosie. Earlier this month, he also remixed Trouble’s Drake-assisted “Bring It Back.” Last month, he dropped the freebie “OKRA.” This weekend, Tyer will return to Coachella for Weekend 2.
