Testing, 1, 2.
Hot off “Bad Company” and “Who Run It,” A$AP Rocky is back with another track. On Wednesday (April 4), he debuted his new single “A$AP Forever” off his long-awaited third album.
The Harlem rapper enlists Moby, who is also featured on the track, and samples the electronica star’s “Porcelain” smash off 1999’s Play. Aside from rapping on it, Rocky also co-produced the joint with his frequent collaborator Hector Delgado.
Frank Ocean and the late A$AP Yams also get a shout-out. “She losin’ her mind, we kiss to Frank Ocean and Blonde,” he raps. “Convincin’ my bitch to go blonde / Was born in the dark, I can’t even open my blinds / On Yams and that’s word to my mom.”
Flacko debuted “A$AP Forever” on “The Tonight Show,” where he also performed the new “Distorted Records.” Rocky underwent “Testing” in the “film-like” medley, while two masked doctors observed him.
In addition to the BlocBoy JB-assisted “Bad Company,” “A$AP Forever” is expected to appear on Rocky’s forthcoming album. Reportedly titled Testing, the new LP will follow 2015’s At.Long.Last.A$AP.
