Logic is back on top. Following last year’s Everybody, the Maryland rapper scores his second No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with Bobby Tarantino II.
The mixtape, which features Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, and 2 Chainz, opens with 119,000 equivalent album units (32,000 traditional). It also earns 82,000 streaming equivalent units (123 million on-demand audio streams of its songs). As a point of comparison, the inaugural Bobby Tarantino peaked at No. 12 with 19,000 units in 2016.
Logic will promote his chart-topping projects on “The Bobby Tarantino Vs. Everybody Tour,” which is set to run from June 8 in Boston through Aug. 3 in St. Louis.
Lil Yachty owns the week’s second-biggest opening. Lil Boat 2 bows at No. 2 with 64,000 units (7,000 traditional). The project bested his 2017 debut album Teenage Emotions, which opened at No. 5 (46,000).
Elsewhere, Black Panther: The Album drops 1-4 (63,000), Migos’ Culture II dips 4-7 (45,000), and Post Malone’s Stoney falls 6-10 (32,000).
