Logic revives Bobby Tarantino for the second installment of his mixtape series, which lands two years after the original.
The Maryland rapper announced the sequel with some help from “Rick and Morty,” mocking the difference between “Album Logic” and “Mixtape Logic,” who returns on Bobby Tarantino II.
Over the course of 13 tracks, Bobby is joined by Big Sean (“Wassup”), 2 Chainz (“State of Emergency”), and Wiz Khalifa (“Indica Badu”), as well as his alter ego Young Sinatra (“Warm It Up”).
Coming off his most successful album to date, Everybody, Logic prepped for the set by releasing three tracks—“44 More,” “Overnight,” and the Marshmello-produced “Everyday.”
Logic recently opened up about the difference between his stage name and real name, Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, during an interview with Rolling Stone, where he seemed to indicate Bobby Tarantino’s return.
“The difference is Bobby has been neglected a bit,” he said, before revealing major plans. “I’ve always wanted to act, so I’m making a movie. I just finished a novel and I’m excited to get it published. You can’t put my talents in a box because my talents have put me in a mansion, and I’ll be damned if anybody in the world can tell me what I can or cannot do because they’re scared to do it themselves.”
