Woo! Offset and Metro Boomin call up “The Nature Boy” for their wrestling-inspired video for “Ric Flair Drip.”
Directed by Shomi Patwary with creative direction from Joseph Desrosiers, the sleek visual was shot at a mansion and features a fleet of Bentleys, a ton of ice, and a cameo from the wrestling legend himself, Ric Flair.
Before getting fitted for matching “Nature Boy” robes, Offset and Ric show off their diamond-encrusted watches. Then Flair gives one of his famous speeches, praising all of his fellow “jet flyin’, drippin’ son of a guns.” Finally, surrounded by sexy ladies, the guys are treated to a luxurious feast.
Flair is no stranger to the music world. Not only has he been quoted and/or sampled in songs by Pusha T, Tory Lanez, Iggy Azalea, and The Game, but he also performed alongside Bad Bunny, who enlisted him for “Chambea” at the Premio Lo Nuestro awards show last week.
The “Ric Flair Drip” video arrives just months after the storied fighter overcame a health scare. Last year, he was hospitalized, on life support, and in a medically-induced coma. The video shows him dancing, laughing, and having a blast, in all his Nature Boy glory.
“Ric Flair Drip” is a single off Metro, Offset, and 21 Savage’s joint project Without Warning, which arrived last year. Savage doesn’t appear on the track, but he does make an appearance in the clip, alongside Migos’ Quavo and Takeoff.
