Just in time for NBA All-Star Weekend, YG drops his new single “Suu Whoop,” a gangster rap track inspired by the Blood call.

Over DJ Mustard production, the 4Hunnid boss calls himself a “gang bangin’ ass dad,” and represents his set. “Suu whoop ’till I die, no lie, that’s truth,” he raps. “Suu whoop, gang ties, bullet wounds, that’s proof.”

The Bompton banger also acts as a disclaimer against fake Bloods everywhere. “I ain’t with the pink-haired Blood shit,” he raps. “I ain’t with the only-at-the-club Bloodin’ / My ni**as I be with, they known for bustin’ / What, who, and where? End of discussion.”

On Saturday (Feb. 17), YG is throwing his first annual “The Boogie,” a star-studded event in Los Angeles, in honor of All-Star Weekend.

Hosted by Teyana Taylor and Fat Boy SSE, the “Daytime Boogie” will include a celebrity basketball tournament with player-coaches YG, Belly, Syd, Nipsey Hussle, DJ Mustard, Famous Dex, and more.

The “Nighttime Boogie” will feature performances by DJ Mustard and YG, as well as Lil Pump, who was recently arrested and then released with an ankle monitor.
