Look alive! Drake teams up with BlocBoy JB in the video for their Southern anthem, which was released via OVO Sound.
Shot in Memphis, the visual is a day in the life in BlocBoy’s hometown. Drizzy and the rising 21-year-old MC start it all off at a basketball gym, where they bust some dance moves “Hotline Bling”-style in front of associates. “901 Shelby Drive,” reps Drizzy. “Look alive, look alive!”
From there, the duo hits up the block, boy. They take in a Grizzlies game, play some B-ball, and smoke some hookah. The crew even finds time to go bowling and stop by a nightclub. All the while, the dance moves keep coming. “We gon’ see how hard they ride,” raps the 6 God. “I get racks to go outside and I split it with the guys.”
Drake might love Memphis, the birthplace of his father, but he also appreciates Miami. This week, he donated $150,000 to various charitable causes in the city, where he also shot a video for his chart-topping smash “God’s Plan.”
