Rich the Kid is preparing for quite a 2018. After dropping “New Freezer” with Kendrick Lamar last year, the Atlanta rapper is gearing to release his star-studded album.
During an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Rich confirmed some big name collaborators, including Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Khalid, and Famous Dex. “It’s great to have opportunities to be able to work with people like Kendrick Lamar and Lil Wayne,” he said. “OGs.”
Regarding Weezy, he added: “He’s one of the greatest. Everybody that’s doing it right now, in my generation, he has definitely influenced them. You have to salute him off the top.”
While at Beats 1, he also debuted his latest single, “Plug Walk,” which features bouncy production and energetic flows. “Plug walk,” he raps. “I don’t even understand how the fuck my plug talk / Pick him up in a space coupe, I don’t let my plug walk / New freak, had to cut my other little bitch off.”
The as-yet-untitled album is due in March via Interscope Records.
On the heels of his album announcement, Rich also has mixtape plans. The eccentric rapper revealed that the upcoming effort, titled Rich Forever 4, features guest spots from Pusha T and Jeezy. “That’s gonna come out after my album,” he confirmed.
