Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott are out to “Get It.” After teaming up in a Super Bowl commercial for Mountain Dew and Doritos, the hip-hop icons are back at it with a little help from Kelly Rowland.
Over Bangladesh’s club-ready production, Bussa Bus spits his trademark rapid-fire flow. “Get on your mark, and get set, ready go!” he raps. “Funny but these ni**as already know / That when I get on microphones / I done already shitted on ni**as, miraculous flow.”
Misdemeanor doesn’t hold back either. “Everybody know Misdemeanor don’t stop,” she raps. “My records don’t flop / Got the game on lock / Clock tick-tocks, six karats on my watch / Now kiss my ass, haters, kick rocks.”
Rowland is billed as a guest but she doesn’t actually appear on the track. Instead, her voice is sampled all over the beat, saying “get it, get it, flip it, tip it, dip it, grip it.” It’s taken from an unreleased Kelly track titled “Smooches” that leaked several years ago.
This weekend, Missy and Busta are teaming up in a hilarious Mountain Dew and Doritos Super Bowl commercial, which also features Morgan Freeman and Peter Dinklage. Check out the ice cold and fiery battle-based ad below.
