Dreamville meets Detroit. Months after teasing a collaboration, J. Cole and Royce 5’9″ appear to be joining forces for a new music video.
Producer S1 posted a short clip from the set of the visual, which appears to take place inside of a carnival. The duo stands side by side with cameras and neon lights all around them.

In July, Nickel Nine shared photos of Cole World in Heaven, his Detroit studio. “Magical moments,” he captioned one.

The collaboration is a long time coming for Cole, who’s shown love for Royce since at least 2010, when he quoted the Bad Meets Evil star on Twitter. In 2013, 5’9″ returned the praise, calling Jermaine a “legend in the making.”
It’s unclear where the track will land, but it could arrive on the follow-up to J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only, though he famously hasn’t had a guest rapper on either of his last two projects. Meanwhile, Royce has at least two projects coming up, including his next solo LP Book of Ryan and PRhyme 2, his second collaborative project with DJ Premier.
