Kodak Black takes it to church—and court—in the chaotic video for his hit Project Baby 2 single, “Roll in Peace.”
The AWGE-directed visual boasts a myriad of images spliced together dramatically, featuring Project Baby smiling in court, dressed in an orange jumpsuit in a cathedral, and counting money in a girl’s bedroom. He makes himself at home wherever he is, sitting down in the church, taking the judge’s seat, and getting a massage from a half-naked model.
XXXTentacion, who is featured on the track, doesn’t show up in the video for too long. He only appears in shaky cellphone footage from a recent courtroom appearance of his own. The clip ends with Kodak staring at the camera while churchgoers raise their hands above him.
“Roll in Peace” is one of Kodak’s highest-charting singles to date, peaking at No. 47 on the Hot 100. Recently, he appeared to get advice from XXX during a FaceTime conversation. “Be cautious,” Tentacion warned him.
Midway through January, Kodak has already released two new tracks, “Here It Is” and “Free Cool Pt. 2,” and he’s also collaborated with Hot Boy Turk and Lil Wayne on the remix to “Fuck How It Turn Out.”
