Eminem’s Revival finally has an official release date. Once shrouded in mystery, the anxiously awaited project is due Dec. 15.

Dr. Dre announced the news on Twitter by way of another medication video. “Revival isn’t a medication at all,” says an actor portraying a medical expert. “Revival is the name of the new album from Eminem and it’s coming out Dec. 15.”

Revival is Eminem’s eighth major label album and ninth overall. It comes four years after his latest, The Marshall Mathers LP 2. It was originally rumored to be released Nov. 17, following the release of its lead single, “Walk On Water” featuring Beyoncé.

Dealing with perfectionism and its various challenges, “Walk On Water” paired two of music’s biggest names with Rick Rubin’s production and Skylar Grey’s songwriting. However, the much discussed song failed to make waves on the Billboard Hot 100’s top 10. It opened at No. 14 and plummeted to No. 55 in its second week out.

Little is known about the upcoming LP, which follows performances at the MTV EMA and “Saturday Night Live.” So far, Shady has only revealed that it will feature contributions from Dr. Dre and that it will be executive produced by Rick Rubin.
