Dave East and Lil Uzi Vert connect on their Luca Vialli-produced collaboration “Don’t Try Me.”

Over a hard-hitting beat, Uzi handles the hook and first verse with an infectious melody about water-like diamonds, money, and shopping. “Everything I wear is so rare,” he sing-raps. “Blinded by my diamonds, wrist on glare / Most of y’all be fake, so why should I play fair?”

Vert leads the way for East, who comes through with the second and final verse, focusing on mobsters, Xanax, and Percocet. “I’m in Saks, Percocet in me,” he raps. “Instagram-Twitter ni**as threaten me / It be jealousy, they can’t get next to me / I’m eating lobster on cruise like Penelope.”

“Don’t Try Me” is set to appear on East’s upcoming mixtape, according to Complex. The project follow this year’s Paranoia: A True Story, which dropped in August, and 2016’s Kairi Chanel.
