Young Dolph bounces back. After getting shot in Los Angeles, the Memphis rapper unleashes “While U Here,” a new single about seizing the moment and life’s finite road.

Over Drumma Boy’s thumping production, Dolph reflects on life, death, cancer, and prayers, while offering advice for those who may not know that life can be taken at any given moment.

“Tell your mama you love her while she here,” he raps. “Tell your pops that you love him while he here / Tell your homeboy you love him while he here / One day you here, next day, you gone, for real.”

To go along with the new track, Dolph unveiled a lyric video, which finds his words floating through the air, dancing on clouds. “Tell your bitch that you love her while you here,” he rhymes on the track. “If it wasn’t for her, would your kids be here?”

“While U Here” is a single off Dolph’s forthcoming album Thinking Out Loud. Featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, and DRAM, the effort is set to arrive Oct. 20.
