After helping A$AP Mob drop Cozy Tapes, Vol. 2: Too Cozy last month, A$AP Rocky is hard at work on his third major label album, the follow-up to 2015’s At.Long.Last.A$AP..

Pulling inspiration overseas, Flacko has reportedly crafted some parts of the album in London, according to an interview he recently conducted with the Evening Standard. “I’ve been in the studio, just that, nothing else,” he said.

Why London? “It’s just special to me for some reason,” he explained. “I express myself way better when I’m in an environment that allows me to be. When I’m here, for the most part, I’m in a peaceful, creative environment and I’m testing the waters and making new music, messing around with new sounds and anything that’s innovative.”

According to Rocky, who’s reportedly collaborated with Skepta, the new album will be another step in his artistic evolution. “This new album is just basically like all my albums: evolved,” he said. “They’ve been missing me, they’ve been waiting for me, they need some new music, they need some new sounds, new waves, new swag, new everything. And who’s the man you go to for that? Yours truly. So I’m back, like I never left.”

Aside from working on his new album and marketing plans for his various entities, Rocky was also in London for the opening of an exclusive bodega-inspired pop-up shop with Selfridges.

Rocky is currently on tour with A$AP Mob in support of Cozy Tapes, Vol. 2: Too Cozy. Featuring Playboi Carti on select dates, the trek is set to run through Nov. 3. Meanwhile, Flacko’s third album is due later this year.
