ScHoolboy Q season is almost here.
One year after dropping his Blank Face LP, Groovy Tony has announced that he is nearly finished working on his third major label album.
Taking to Instagram with a boxing video, the Top Dawg spitter revealed the big news. “I said once my album 90% done I was going back 2 da gym,” he wrote. “well I’m back!!!”

Back in February, when he said that he was halfway done with the project, Q told Beats 1 that the album would showcase a “different side” of himself.
“This is more so my life after I made it to the point of ScHoolboy Q,” he said. “I gave you me [on past projects], but I never gave you the other side of me, the father, the dude that’s actually happy, the dude that doesn’t be in the hood just hanging out, the dude that’s trying to put his homies in position now.”
In May, he told fans that his album would likely trail SZA’s Ctrl, which arrived the following month.
Q’s last effort, Blank Face LP, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and featured a slew of guests, including Kanye West, Anderson .Paak, Jadakiss, Vince Staples, and E-40, among others.
