Hip-hop’s newest power couple, Nicki Minaj and Nas, continued Esco’s celebratory birthday weekend on Sunday (Sept. 17), when they stepped out in style.
Rocking Gucci head to toe, NasNika rode together in an all-white 1988 Mercedes-Benz 190E. The customized whip had Illmatic license plates and a booming system, which Esco used to play his “Hate Me Now” classic.
“Got my Bday 1988 190E Benz & picked up Shorty from Queens. We Out!” wrote Nas, while Nicki added, “Nasty Nas hopped out the illmatic ’88 benz tryna holla @ me earlier today in Queens.”
According to Nasty Nas, the ’80s-themed shoot was part of an upcoming video, which will be released soon. “Big thanks to @iamwillcastro and team unique for lacing out my 88 benz,” he wrote. “we filmed the whole process it’s coming soon on #UniqueRides @velocity.”
Afterwards, still decked out in Gucci, Nas took the stage at the Meadows Music & Arts Festival, where Nicki performed a day earlier with Yo Gotti and Future.
This was a continuation of Nas’ 44th birthday, which he celebrated with Nicki and fellow Virgo Swizz Beatz just days prior. Before the birthday festivities, where Esco cuddled up with Minaj, their relationship was rumored to be heating up.
Both rappers are currently working on new projects. For Nicki, this will be her first album since 2014’s The Pinkprint, while Nas is set to drop his first LP since 2012’s Life Is Good.
