Sage the Gemini is ready to have some fun with his upcoming album, Bachelor Party.

While promoting his Morse Code mixtape, the Bay Area rapper stopped by Rap-Up HQ to talk about his first album since 2014’s Remember Me.

Bachelor Party is basically us having fun before everything gets serious,” he explained. “I’m basically marrying the music and just being a real artist, showing people all my talent. I feel like this is the party to celebrate that I’m going to try to be one of the best of all time.”

While he may be best known for hits like “Gas Pedal” and “Red Nose,” Sage plans to show his diversity on his next album, ranging from hip-hop to bluegrass. “I’m going to try to conquer all fields,” he said. “I’m going to try to please everyone and let them know that I’m worthy to be on the radio at all times, I’m worthy to get an award, I’m just worthy.”

When it comes to Hov, Sage was inspired by his latest album, 4:44. “He put his heart into it,” he said. “He did everything people like in an album, putting your heart into it, going in there and bringing your personal life out, and all that stuff. He did all that. So many people are caught up in today’s music that they forget what real music sounds like.”

While Sage preps Bachelor Party, he is holding fans over with his Morse Code mixtape, which features appearances from Kap G and Kent Jones.
