Lil Wayne’s battle with epilepsy continues. Over the weekend, the rapper was hospitalized in Chicago after suffering multiple seizures, causing him to cancel a Las Vegas performance.

According to TMZ, Wayne suffered one seizure at a Chicago Westin. After being taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, he reportedly suffered another one.

Due to doctor’s orders, Wayne was forced to cancel a Drai’s Beachclub performance in Las Vegas following the complications. Health professionals believed it would be risky for him to fly, given his past with seizures. He is now resting, according to his rep.

Wayne has suffered multiple seizures throughout his career and he opened up about the life-threatening health scares in 2013. “The bad news is I’m an epileptic,” he said. “I’m prone to seizures. This isn’t my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I’ve had a bunch of seizures, ya’ll just never hear about them.”

Throughout his career, Wayne has blamed some of the seizures on stress, exhaustion, and overworking. Last year, he suffered multiple seizures aboard a private jet, lost consciousness, forced an emergency landing, and was hospitalized as a result.
