EarthGang, the Atlanta duo of Johnny Venus and Doctur Dot, has just joined the Dreamville family.

J. Cole praised his “Can’t Call It” collaborators in a video announcement confirming the signing. “When ni**as think about Atlanta, they think about super trap shit,” he said. “They think about Future, which Future is the God right now in that world and in that lane, but them kids you seen at that show tonight, them 3,000 kids and then there was thousands more that didn’t make it in, they actually relate more to y’all.”

Jermaine continues by praising their work and predicting that they will make an impact. “These records right here is really painting that picture and giving that vibe,” he said. “I hear them shits and I’m like, ‘Damn.’ When you talk about an album that’s gonna impact, I’m hearing more them records. That’s what my heart is telling me when I hear y’all shit. I’m like, ‘Damn, these ni**as can really do it.'”

EarthGang is part of a musical collective known as Spillage Village, which also includes J.I.D., who signed to Dreamville back in February and released his debut LP The Never Story by March.

In November of last year, EarthGang and J.I.D. collaborated with Jermaine on “Can’t Call It.” Prior to that, Cole’s verse from that song appeared on DJ Khaled’s Major Key as “Jermaine’s Interlude.”

Dreamville will be represented at Made in America over the weekend, as J. Cole, J.I.D., EarthGang, and Ari Lennox are all set to perform at the festival.
