On the heels of collaborations with Jamila Woods and his brother Taylor Bennett, Chance the Rapper previews a new single with a familiar twist.
Taking to Instagram, Lil Chano premiered a new track that is being dubbed “Every Little Thing I Do,” because it pulls inspiration from Soul for Real’s classic of the same name.
“I’m a little too young to be drinking this much,” raps Chance. “I’m a little too dumb to be thinking this much / But it’s Chano, Mr. No. 1 dub plate / All these little cupcakes asking for an update.”

Soul for Real’s well-known banger, which sampled The Gap Band’s “Outstanding” and Jean-Jacques Perrey’s “E.V.A.,” peaked at No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1995.
It’s unclear where Chance’s new song will land, but there are many possibilities. Aside from working on his long-awaited debut album, Chance has also recently teased collaborations with Bruno Mars and John Mayer.
This Sunday, Chance is also up for two Moon Persons in the same category (Best Hip-Hop) at the MTV VMAs, where his solo cut “Same Drugs” faces off against his DJ Khaled collaboration “I’m the One,” which features Justin Bieber, Quavo, and Lil Wayne.
