Chicago-based singer/poet/activist Jamila Woods teams up with Chance the Rapper once again in the video for her latest single, “LSD.”

The sleek visual kicks off with Jamila in the ocean, before she’s transported to a kiddie pool. Surrounded by bubbles and water, the empowering songstress smiles and sings about self-love.

Later, Chance shows up at a backyard party, manning the grill, while rapping about his love for the Chi. “I’m supposed to father my daughter,” he raps. “She the princess in the dragon’s lair / And I’m the dragon slayer / I can’t fly away to some hideaway / I gotta find a way.”

“LSD” is a single off Woods’ HEAVN LP, which dropped last year. Now, it is available for purchase for the first time via Jagjaguwar/Closed Sessions.

The video was directed by VAM Studio’s Vincent Martell and Sam Bailey, but it was a high school senior named Ashley Huicochea who crafted the treatment. Now a graduate of Prosser Career Academy, Ashley also shadowed the directors during the video shoot.

Huicochea’s treatment was used after she won a contest that was open to all students at Chicago Public Schools. Go behind the scenes of the process below.
