Pretty Girls (and guys) do indeed Like Trap Music. This week, 2 Chainz’ latest LP opens at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, with an impressive 106,000 equivalent album units.
Of this total, Pretty Girls Like Trap Music sold 57,000 traditional copies and 46,000 streaming equivalent album units. The latter figure is the highest for any album on the Billboard 200 this week.
This is 2 Chainz’ fourth overall top 10, following last year’s Collegrove, 2013’s B.O.A.T.S. II #MeTime, and 2012’s Based on a T.R.U. Story. The latter project was his first and only No. 1.
With this figure, Tity Boi trails only Lorde’s Melodrama. The pop star’s second full-length LP became her first No. 1 with 109,000 equivalent album units.
Young Thug also had one of the highest debuts of the week with his latest project, Beautiful Thugger Girls. Dubbed his “singing” album, BTG sold 37,000 units, enough to land at No. 8.
