Keke Palmer and Quavo “Wind Up” in the dazzling video for their new collaboration.

Directed by Dale “Rage” Resteghini, the clip starts with Keke rushing to the stage, where she’s joined by a team of acrobatic dancers on a play-like set.

Wearing shades, a shimmering bra, and baggy denim, the actress-turned-songstress narrates her rise from “Muddville” to Hollywood. Following wardrobe changes and an appearance from a hologram Quavo, Keke shows off impressive dance moves, even breaking it down with a hula hoop.

“I’ve always been inspired by the ’90s and I wanted to express that inspiration in the style of the ‘Wind Up’ visuals,” explained Keke. “It was also important to me to incorporate another source of inspiration for me — musical theater — into my storytelling performance style. As this song is about my life I wanted to make sure it represented all of who I am. It’s quintessentially me: actress, singer, dancer, performer and lover of the ’90s.”

Produced by Sean Garrett and DJ Hardwerk, “Wind Up” is Keke’s latest single and it follows the release of last year’s deeply personal Lauren EP.
