It was anything but low key at the night show.
Travis Scott was arrested for inciting a riot, endangering the welfare of a minor, and disorderly conduct during his “Birds Eye View Tour” stop in Rogers, Ark. on Saturday (May 13).
According to TMZ, Scott urged fans to rush the stage, causing safety concerns. Several people were reportedly injured in the process, including a guard and a police officer.
La Flame’s camp claims that the rapper had no intentions of getting people hurt. He noticed space in the general admission area and invited seated guests to come towards it.
The Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight rapper was released without bail at around 11:30 p.m. the same night.
This has become an ongoing problem for Scott, who was arrested for inciting a crowd at Lollapalooza in 2015. That year, officials took him in after he encouraged fans to rush the front of the sage, ignore security, and climb over barricades.
That same year, Scott encouraged fans to beat up a member of the audience for trying to steal his sneakers. “Fuck him up,” he screamed. “Fuck his ass up.” He then threw his microphone at the alleged thief.
Just last month, Scott was filmed encouraging fans to jump off a second story balcony in New York. However, one man injured himself and was hospitalized after jumping from the third level. In return, Scott gifted him a ring off his hand.
The “Birds Eye View Tour” continues through July 9 in Finland. After that, Travis will join Kendrick Lamar on “The DAMN. Tour,” which kicks off July 12 in Phoenix.
