Logic has his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
In its opening week, the Maryland MC’s latest album Everybody garnered 247,000 equivalent album units (196,000 traditional) to debut atop the chart.
This is Logic’s third album but fourth placement on the Billboard 200. His 2014 debut Under Pressure reached No. 4, 2015’s The Incredible True Story followed at No. 3, and last year’s Bobby Tarantino reached No. 12.
Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. — which spent three weeks at No. 1 — slides to No. 3 this week. Sitting behind Chris Stapleton’s From a Room: Volume 1, K-Dot’s latest sold 134,000 in its fourth week.
Drake’s More Life rounds out the top five with 62,000 units behind the Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2: Awesome Mix Vol. 2 soundtrack. This gives Universal Music Group a monopoly of the top 5, the first time any record label has achieved this since UMG in 2015.
Elsewhere, Ed Sheeran’s ÷ drops 5-6 (50,000), Russ opens at No. 7 with his debut album There’s Really a Wolf (49,000), Bruno Mars dips 7-8 with 24K Magic (42,000), and Gorillaz’s Humanz falls 2-9 (40,000). Finally, Epic’s Epic AF compilation slides 6-10 (37,000) for the final spot on the Billboard 200 top 10.
