Rico Nasty’s “Block List” is poppin’.
The DMV rapper is putting “Sugar Trap” on the map with playful singles like “iCarly”—which has received over 1 million views—and “Hey Arnold,” which spawned a Lil Yachty remix. Now, the rising star, who also goes by Tacobella, premieres “Block List” exclusively on Rap-Up.
“My block list poppin’ like my lipgloss,” raps Rico. “He so mad, I keep on declining his phone calls / I don’t love ’em, I don’t need ’em / Gettin’ money, I can’t see ’em / Bitches hating, I delete ’em.”
According to Rico, the song was meant to empower women. “‘Blocklist’ is a bad bitches’ anthem,” she told Rap-Up. “It’s showing what females may do or think about doing to ni**as who just act thirsty and think that they can waste a girl’s time and get away with it.”
“Block List” arrives shortly after Rico appeared on the Yachty-led “Mamacita” off The Fate of the Furious soundtrack. It also follows “Glo Bottles,” a single from her forthcoming mixtape, Tales of Tacobella, which is due May 19.
