Dave East gave out “Free Smoke” last month, and now the Mass Appeal MC unleashes the video for his Drake remix.
Directed by Max Comfort, the gritty visual finds East “somewhere in North Philadelphia.” Hanging with friends, smoking, and rhyming on the street, Dave provides a day in the life of a rising rap star.
“All my ni**as raise the crime rate,” he brags, while surrounded by his crew. “It’s getting ugly like LeBron face / Never seen it coming, that’s a blind date.”
Dave’s “Free Smoke” video follows Eastmixes for The Weeknd’s “Party Monster” and Future’s “Mask Off.” These are all loosie warm-ups for his forthcoming Paranoia project.
