Although 4/20 has passed, the smoker’s celebration stays lit with Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, and Devin the Dude on their new collaboration, “420 (Blaze Up).”
“America gon’ legalize,” raps Tha Doggfather. “But I ain’t believe her, until she finally did it / Overworked but I’m still committed / All things under the letter G, Snoop Dogg done did it.”
After he raps about peace under a chronic tree, Devin enters with a laid-back flow. “I hope they legalize it here,” he raps. “I’m tired of police / You think you can smoke like me and Snoop? Don’t try to compete.”
Following The Dude’s edible-filled rhyme, Wiz closes things out. “A pothead, but I be focused,” he raps. “It ain’t in my session if it’s bullshit / Only the best, what you’re dealing with / It’s legal now, everybody’s doing it.”
The mellow slapper, which is accompanied by an old school Auto-Tuned chorus, is a cut off the Grow House soundtrack, which also includes songs by Cypress Hill, Xzibit, Kurupt, Lil Duval, and additional appearances by Wiz and Snoop.
Grow House, directed by DJ Pooh, features Snoop Dogg, DeRay Davis, Lil Duval, Faizon Love, and more.
On 4/20, Wiz and Snoop also joined Juelz Santana on the Dipset rapper’s “Mr. Weedman” anthem. Meanwhile, Khalifa teamed up with Juicy J on “Always High.”
