Just one week after premiering “Come Closer” with Drake, WizKid pays tribute to his native Africa in the dance-heavy video.

Directed by DAPS, the visual is a colorful myriad of scenes layered with paint and special effects. While the Starboy and his team of dancers whine across the clip, paint splashes and kaleidoscope effects create dazzling images.

Soundtracked by Afrobeat production, the visual also has beautiful nods to Africa. This is depicted in the headdresses and face paint worn by the gorgeous models, in some of the clothing, and the continent even decorates one of the dancers’ necklaces.

Drake isn’t in the video, but he’s building quite a relationship with WizKid, who hails from Nigeria. The two previously collaborated with Kyla on their massively popular “One Dance” collaboration.

Previously titled “Hush Up the Silence,” “Come Closer” is the lead single off WizKid’s forthcoming RCA Records debut album, Sounds From the Other Side.
