Call him an All-Amerikkkan Bada$$. Two years after dropping his debut B4.DA.$$, Joey Bada$$ unleashes his second full-length album.

AABA comes with a few major guest stars as J. Cole pops up on “Legendary,” ScHoolboy Q appears on “Rockabye,” and Styles P lands on “Super Predator.” Elsewhere, Kirk Knight, Nyck Caution, and Meechy Darko of Flatbush Zombies roll up on “Ring the Alarm.”

The politically-charged effort was preceded by “Land of the Free,” which features a less-than-flattering message about President Donald Trump. It also follows last year’s “Devastated,” which became an anthem for progress.

Back in June of 2016, while he was still crafting his latest project, Joey spoke with Rap-Up about his mission. “I think there’s been something going on in America,” he said. “Especially against the young black youth, the oppressed people of this country. So I think the young generation needs a voice. I do believe I am that voice.”

More recently, Joey told Beats 1 that he became inspired to connect to his “real” side. “I just started feeling responsible,” he explained. “The real side of me, just the human side of me was feeling connected to it ’cause I felt so close to it. The musician side of me started feeling responsible, not responsible for what was happening, but responsible on how we can change it. How we could bring more awareness to certain situations. This project, I’m glad you said it, it’s about my experience as a black man in America, but it’s not just my experience. It’s your experience.”
