It was all love when Drake met up with his idol Sade backstage at his “Boy Meets World Tour” at London’s O2 on Monday (March 20). The heartwarming and rare image found him hugging the music icon alongside his mother Sandi Graham.

“Two very important ladies in my life,” he captioned the shot.

For Drake, it was the latest moment of Sade admiration and another sign of their friendly relationship.

The two were slated to collaborate in 2011, when producer Noah “40” Shebib worked on “The Moon and the Sky.” Instead, however, Sade opted to have Jay Z on the remix.

“[40] got an amazing opportunity early on in my career to work with Sade on a remix to one of her songs,” said Drake. “I was this close to being on it, but at that point in my career, she went and put Jay Z on it, which is obviously understandable…But I missed that. A Sade moment. My star wasn’t there yet for her to hear me out. Since then, we’ve had a great relationship.”

Sade was visiting Drake on the final “Boy Meets World Tour” stop in London, where he was also joined by Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz, Skepta, and Jorja Smith, among others.

All of this comes after a record-breaking weekend for Drake, thanks to his More Life playlist. Featuring appearances by Kanye West, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Travis Scott, and many more, the effort is slated to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with the largest first-week figures of the year.
