Nicki Minaj blasted PARTYNEXTDOOR for insinuating that he ghostwrote “Regret in Your Tears.” Shortly afterwards, PND responded with a series of since-deleted tweets.
“I’m a fan of nicki minaj,” tweeted the OVO crooner. “We have a song together, I hope she’s as cool & as I’ve always imagined.” In another tweet, he added: “Befriend me.”
After scrubbing those posts, he tweeted “Party over Everything” with a sneezing emoji.
As reported, Nicki blasted PARTY for insinuating that he ghostwrote her #3PackFromParis track. “Party Next Door had NOTHING to do w/ #RegretInYourTears – ni**a aint never heard that song a day in his life. Bless y’all heart,” she tweeted. “Not sure why he was ‘liking’ tweets. Maybe it was just ‘funny’ to him. Maybe he was…’hacked’. Lol. Either way. #DisTewMuch FOH.”
This was a direct response to PND’s Twitter likes, which included several posts that claimed he wrote “Regret in Your Tears.” “I hope they paying you good money for them songs bro you keep saving people,” said one fan. Another added: “Your ghostwriting does not go unnoticed my brother. Real fans still hear you.”
As PARTY noted, he and Nicki appear together on Major Lazer’s “Run Up.” A video for the song is slated to drop soon.
Aside from bashing PARTY, Nicki has been celebrating Queens. On Saturday, she curated the TIDAL playlist “Queens Got Da Crown,” an ode to her home borough.
