After breaking through with his smash debut “Caroline,” Aminé goes full throttle on “REDMERCEDES.”

The car-inspired song’s futuristic bounce allows the Portland rapper to drop flows that call back to Missy Elliott’s “Work It.”

“Tint so black, look like my complexion,” he raps. “Neo, I’m the one, like I had direction / Rims look like they were shipped from heaven / Trunk so big, it could fit my reverend.”

Adele also inspired some of the lyrics. “With my ni**as in a red Mercedes,” he raps. “Attitude like ‘Fuck you, pay me’ / Rollin’ deeper than Adele when we go out / If the ladies show up, then we show out.”

Prior to “REDMERCEDES,” Aminé dropped “Baba” and “Caroline.” The latter became a platinum smash, peaking at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Now, Aminé is getting ready to hit the road for a series of gigs, including BUKU Festival, SXSW, Rolling Loud, Soundset, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza.
