Less than a week after releasing his self-titled album, Future is reportedly planning to unveil another project this Friday (Feb. 24).

According to HITS Daily Double, the project is set to be “more rhythmic-leaning and radio-friendly” than the self-titled album, which featured tracks like “Draco,” “Good Dope,” and “Super Trapper.” It’s reportedly an attempt to obtain back-to-back No. 1s on the Billboard 200.

Future’s self-titled album is certainly on track to deliver the first of those No. 1s. Projections show that it’s on pace to move 145-155,000 units, likely enough for the top slot. As a point of comparison, Big Sean’s I Decided. recently topped the Billboard 200 with 151,000 equivalent album units.

In 2015, Future earned his first No. 1 with DS2 and months later topped the chart again with What a Time To Be Alive, his joint mixtape with Drake. Last year, his EVOL LP also reached No. 1, marking three chart-toppers in less than seven months.

Last week, Future spoke with Beats 1 about the supreme focus he’s had while working on new music as of late. “All my energy, I want to put it in my music,” he explained. “I want you to hear this and say, ‘He gave us all of him.’ And you didn’t get it from a tweet. If there was a tweet I felt like saying during that time, you’re gonna be able to hear it in my music. If there was a response that you thought I should have responded to, you’re going to be able to hear it in my music.”

If Hendrix does drop a new album this week, it will be his sixth overall. It will also give him plenty of material to perform on his “Nobody Safe Tour,” which kicks off May 4 in Memphis with guests Migos, Tory Lanez, and Kodak Black.

Future, who is set to perform on “The Tonight Show” this evening, has yet to confirm the new project.

UPDATE: During a Twitter Q&A, Future seemed to confirm reports that a new album is coming this week. However, he promised that it’s not due to his beef with Rocko.

“No way in the fuck am I doing that for him,” he said. “But at the same time, shit gonna get taken care of. We working. We richer than ever. When ni**as go broke, they do dumb shit so I don’t know what’s going on. But at the end of the day, we making hits. We making history. If a ni**a wanna be a part of history, you gotta do something to tag along.”

Last year, Rocko sued Future for $10 million, claiming that Hendrix cut him and A1 out of a side deal with Epic Records. According to HITS Daily Double, the new LP will be released by A1, Freebandz, and Epic, just like Future’s self-titled project, which dropped last week.

Meanwhile, the “Draco” music video is set to premiere tomorrow (Feb. 22). Watch the gamer-friendly trailer below.
