With their album Culture at the top of the Billboard 200, Migos’ Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff opened up about their success, politics, and their views on homosexuality in a new profile in Rolling Stone.

During the interview, the Atlanta trio criticized iLoveMakonnen, who recently came out as gay. “Damn Makonnen!” said Quavo, before showing surprise at the support his “Whip It (Remix)” collaborator received. “They supported him?” Offset replied: “That’s because the world is fucked up.” Takeoff added: “This world is not right.”

Quavo insisted that, despite these comments, they weren’t “saying it’s nothing wrong with the gays,” but added that “he first came out talking about trapping and selling Molly, doing all that.” Finally, he added: “That’s wack, bro.”

After their Makonnen comments made headlines, Migos issued an apology via Twitter.

“We always been about being original and staying true,” the group wrote in a statement. “Staying true to yourself goes a long way. We are all fans of Makonnen’s music and we wish he didn’t feel like he ever had to hide himself. We feel the world is fucked up that people feel like they have to hide and we’re asked to comment on someone’s sexuality. We have no problem with anyone’s sexual preference. We love all people, gay or straight and we apologize if we offended anyone.”

Elsewhere in the interview, writer Jonah Weiner describes a bloody scene after an unnamed woman bursts into the studio to try to swing at Quavo. The author described what happened next.

“I see Quavo run out to the Spider and the woman chase him,” wrote Weiner. “Others join them at the car…The [surveillance] picture is too small and grainy to say what exactly happens next, but I see the woman fall to the ground. [Studio manager] O-Ron carries her, as she kicks furiously, away from Quavo. Soon a car arrives; she gets in and leaves. O-Ron returns and explains that the woman ‘fell down and busted her nose – her face is all bloody.'” Quavo and Offset drove off without an explanation. Migos’ reps declined to comment further on the incident, according to Rolling Stone.

Earlier today, Migos dropped two new tracks, “Dab of Ranch” and a remix to “T-Shirt.” Currently, both their album Culture and hit single “Bad and Boujee” sit atop the charts.

See highlights from their Rolling Stone interview below.

Quavo on the Super Bowl: “Shoulda had us doing ‘Bad and Boujee’! We need to do that song at the Super Bowl!”

Quavo on Trump: “The inauguration was weak…It wasn’t as thick as the last house party, you dig? If it’s some buffoonery, some laugh shit, people ain’t pulling up. Trump’s laughable.”

Takeoff on security: “It’s my brothers. My brothers are my security. You gotta stay on your P’s and Q’s. When you popping so hard, got these blessings coming down, you got the devil tryin’ to get at you. You gotta stay focused.”

Offset on jail: “[Solomon] was a king that had everything, and he lost it all but still had faith. So God blessed him with 10 times more. When I was in jail, like Solomon, I didn’t understand why I was going through what I was going through. I was on the right path. Wasn’t riding dirty. Then I got trapped in this hole. So I reached to the Word.”

Offset On Quavo’s mom: “She was the father figure. She knew how to raise you as a man, tell you how ni**as is. ‘Homes right there is this.’ ‘This ni**a right there is this — watch out.'”
