Watch Anderson .Paak Perform 'Come Down' in Church with a Gospel Choir

BY Andres / 2.8.2017

Yes Lawd! Just days before the Grammys, Anderson .Paak takes fans to church as part of The Recording Academy’s “Believe in Music” campaign.

The Los Angeles crooner puts a gospel spin on his Malibu single “Come Down” with some help from Gospel Music Director and Anderson’s family friend, J’rese Mitchell.

As the congregation stands up and claps along, .Paak is seen drumming behind the singers, a callback to his days as a drummer in a gospel choir.

The clip is a family affair, featuring .Paak’s sister Camille and his six-year-old son Soul, who recently danced his heart out on “Ellen.”

Of course, this is just a warm-up for Anderson, who is set to hit the Grammy stage with A Tribe Called Quest on Sunday (Feb. 12). He’s also up for two Grammys, including Best New Artist and Best Urban Contemporary Album.

Today is also Anderson’s birthday. He celebrated by quoting Notorious B.I.G. and posing in front of a brand new BMW i8. “Birth days was the worst days,” he wrote, while showing off his new ride.
