On Inauguration Day, B.o.B delivers “Run the Night (The Siege),” a politically-charged track about patriotism, war, and greed.
“How you spell America?” asks Bobby Ray. “M-O-N-E-Y / A million ways to win, a million ways to die.” Later, he adds: “Wars for peace, wars for freedom / But war don’t really got a finish line.”
Taking on patriotism, the ATLien pulls no punches. “You such a patriot / Down for your country, but your country never gave a shit / Am I a citizen here, or am I just paying rent?”
Bobby Ray isn’t the only rapper speaking out about the country as President Donald Trump is sworn into office. Earlier today, Joey Bada$$ also released “Land of the Free,” in which he says Trump is “not equipped to take this country over.”
Earlier this month, B.o.B also dropped the social justice track “Scary” with CyHi the Prince. “Freedom ain’t free,” he rhymed. “Freedom ain’t cheap.”
