Yes, SiR! Amid speculation surrounding their latest signee, Top Dawg Entertainment has officially announced that Los Angeles crooner SiR is part of the label’s roster.

TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith confirmed the news on Thursday (Jan. 19). “Welcome home kid #JohnDoe2,” he tweeted.

SiR, who hails from Inglewood, Calif., unveiled a six-track EP titled HER in October. Featuring Big K.R.I.T. on the bounce-driven “Cadillac Dreams,” the project was secretly his first release with TDE.

“I’m proud and it’s an honor,” said SiR. “The response [to HER] has been crazy. It’s been amazing. I’m just excited that people love the music and are listening. I got so much more to share.”

TDE President Dave Free says SiR’s talent and work ethic make him a “perfect fit” for the label, which includes Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, and SZA. “SiR is a great addition to TDE,” said Free. “He’s a talented writer and artist who’s always willing to work hard and push boundaries creatively, making him a perfect fit.”

His hard work is already on display. Today, the label released SiR’s infrared music video for a smooth single titled “W$ Boi.” Over mellow instrumentation, the crooner sings: “Westside boy, I’m a westside boy / I grew up on the other side of Figueroa, Figueroa / Mama’s momma came to California from Louisiana.”

SiR’s already built strong ties with TDE. The singer appeared on Isaiah Rashad’s “Rope” and Jay Rock’s “The Ways.” He’s also reportedly worked with stars such as Stevie Wonder, Anita Baker, and Jill Scott.

Get acquainted with SiR through his HER EP below and get ready for new music. TDE’s newest signee plans on releasing a follow-up HER TOO on Feb. 10.
