Taylor Bennett bravely opens up about his sexuality.
On Wednesday (Jan. 18), just one day shy of his 21st birthday, the younger brother of Chance the Rapper courageously revealed that he identifies as a bisexual man.
“My birthday is tomorrow & moving into next year I’d like to be more open about myself to help others that struggle with the same issues,” he tweeted. “Growing up I’ve always felt indifferent about my sexuality & being attracted 2 one sex & today I would like to openly come out to my fans. I do recognize myself as a bisexual male & do & have always openly supported the gay community & will keep doing so in 2017. #ThankYou.”
On Jan. 25, Bennett is set to release Broad Shoulders, a film based on his 2015 album. “Sometimes, you find out that the standards people have, the things that they will, and the things that they won’t do, aren’t the reason why you like them,” he says in the trailer. “It’s because you care about that person.”
Following the film’s release, Taylor plans on dropping an EP in February.
