With President Obama just days away from leaving office, a somber 2 Chainz is lamenting the fact that he never received an invitation to the White House.
“I usually just leave a lot of shit to myself, but I wanted to go to the White House and never got invited,” revealed Tity Boi in a video posted on Instagram. “I seen all them beautiful pics of everybody going to all these parties. I just wanted to say what’s up to Barack. We all came from a troubled past, but I seen him giving people some really big chances. But anyway, that happened and I’m cool with that.”

Although Obama never gave him a call, Tity Boi says President-elect Donald Trump asked him to perform at his upcoming inauguration, which he declined to do.
“I know they’re only doing this because they can’t get anyone else,” Chainz said. “I had to say nah. No matter how much money it was. I probably won’t be going to the White House no time soon. That’s why I was trying to go then.”
Chainz once again expressed disappointment over this issue on Monday (Jan. 16), when he shared a photo of Obama with several rappers and singers, including Pusha T, Wale, Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Rick Ross, J. Cole, Common, and Chance the Rapper.
“didn’t make this one either !?” he wrote. “back to my trap raps ! Congrats on everyone else tho no hate.”

2 Chainz has spent his time away from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in the studio with Drake and possibly Justin Bieber, in preparation for his next project, Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, which is due April 7.
