Soulja Boy is having a change of heart.
Following a series of beefs with Chris Brown, Lil Yachty, and Migos’ Quavo, the “Crank That” rapper has apologized for his recent behavior.
“I just want to send an apology,” he said in a “PSA” posted on social media. “Over the past couple of months, I’ve been actin’ out, I’ve been wildin’ out. At the end of the day, it’s not about who start the beefs, it’s about who end them.”
Soulja claims this apology was sparked by his mother, who was recently hospitalized. Though he says she will “be alright,” the rapper adds that he was moved to rethink his actions.
“I know she’s not proud of my actions and what I’ve been doing recently,” he said. “I want to make music with Chris Brown, Yachty, Quavo, everybody…I apologize. I’m back to the music.”
The apology also follows a video of Soulja in an altercation with an unknown man, a confrontation caught from multiple angles on social media.

Soulja sparked a feud with Lil Yachty in October over model India Love. In December, he dissed Quavo and threatened to shoot him, resulting in an arrest for a possible probation violation. This week, he began feuding with Brown over the singer’s ex Karrueche Tran.
Despite today’s apology, the Brown/Soulja beef may come to blows. Earlier today, boxer/promoter Adrien Broner announced that the two artists will be fighting for charity in March under his production company, something Breezy suggested earlier in the feud. “Tickets will be available shortly,” Broner wrote on Instagram. “I will let y’all know the location and specific date soon!!!!!”

Fabolous commended Soulja for stepping up to the plate and apologizing. “Unfortunate that somethin bad has to happen for people to see clear, but I respect when ppl man up to they behavior,” he wrote. “Overall I respect Soulja Boy thinking about someone other than himself. (his moms) Admitting wrongs & apologizing to his fans.”
