Hot off an R. Kelly remix for the Justin Bieber-led “Let Me Love You,” DJ Snake taps Sean Paul for yet another revamp.
The club banger’s island flavor is perfect for the Kingston crooner, who seasons the track with his own take on the Bieber smash. “I keep putting my all in,” sings Paul. “I ain’t seeing this fallin’ / No, no, I can never let go / I will always show you my deepest flow.”
Bieber can still be heard on this version of the cut, which is interesting given Sean’s recent criticism. In September, he said Justin and other stars simply don’t understand dancehall.
“It is a sore point when people like Drake or Bieber or other artists come and do dancehall-orientated music but don’t credit where dancehall came from and they don’t necessarily understand it,” he explained. “A lot of people get upset, they get sour. And I know artists back in Jamaica that don’t like Major Lazer because they think they do the same thing that Drake and Kanye did–they take and take and don’t credit.”
The original “Let Me Love You” is a standout smash from Snake’s Encore LP, which dropped in August, with appearances by Skrillex, Jeremih, Young Thug, Swizz Beatz, Travis Scott, and Migos.
