The Weeknd capped off a tremendous 2016 with a special show for Vevo.
On Saturday, the Grammy-winning crooner headlined the “Vevo Presents” concert at LA Hangar Studios in Los Angeles. Over 1,000 of his biggest fans gathered to watch him perform an electrifying 30-minute set, including new songs off his chart-topping album Starboy, starting with the title track.
Performing in front of 1,200 stealth screen tiles, he lit up the stage with “Party Monster,” “Reminder,” and a seven-minute mash-up of “Secrets” and “Can’t Feel My Face.” But the biggest surprise of the evening was when Kendrick Lamar joined him for the first live performance of “Sidewalks.”
The Weeknd will take his show on the road next year with his “Starboy: Legend of the Fall” tour. Beginning Feb. 17 in Stockholm, the 46-date trek will travel through Europe and South America before hitting the U.S. in April.
