Is 50 Cent hanging up the mic?

When asked about his long-awaited album Street King Immortal, the G-Unit mogul revealed that his days as an MC may be numbered.

“I want to finish with that project,” he told Muscle & Fitness. “I don’t want to write another record after that. You know how some artists got to have confirmation that they’re right. I have that confirmation in f*cking 35, 40 million [albums] that I already sold.”

Fifty has been promising SKI since at least 2011, but there is still no release date. In the time since he first announced the project, he released his mixtapes The Big 10, The Lost Tape, and The Kanan Tape as well as Animal Ambition, his first independently-released album following a lucrative run with Interscope.

This isn’t the only major change on the horizon. Recently, 50 also claimed he would be leaving “Power” after the hit Starz show was snubbed by the Golden Globes.

“I’m on the move again,” he said. “Golden globe’s can suck a d-ck. I accept my series POWER was not intended to be a signature show for the network but it is the highest rated show. I know my audience very well, I’m done promoting this out side of contractual obligations. SEASON 4 KANAN MUST DIE, I got other shit to do.”

While his work on “Power” is up in the air, 50 will be returning to the big screen as Enson in Den with Thieves, an upcoming crime thriller co-starring Gerard Butler.
